R.J. MONTGOMERY & ASSOCIATES, INC. was established in 1985 and has been servicing clients with professional auctions, appraisals, liquidation’s and various other business functions ever since. Members qualifications include graduating the Reppert School of Auctioneering, Inc, the Auction Marketing Institute, Certified Auctioneer (CAI), Certified Estate Specialist (CES), the International Society of Appraisers “Specialty Course of Machinery & Equipment”, Graduate Personal Property Appraiser (GPPA) and Master Personal Property Appraiser (MPPA), Certified Machinery & Equipment Appraiser (CEA). We have members in the National Auctioneers Association (NAA), the Michigan Auctioneers Association (MAA)(one was 2003 President & 2004 Chairman of the Board), the Auction Marketing Institute, Association of Machinery & Equipment Appraisers (AMEA) and the Machinery Dealers National Association (MDNA).

MONTGOMERY & ASSOCIATES, INC. is a member of the National Auctioneers Association, the Michigan State Auctioneers Association (2003 President, 2004 Chairman of the Board), The Auction Marketing Institute, the International Society of Appraisers, the Machinery Dealers National Association, and the National Association of Bankruptcy Trustees.
We are bonded with the United States Government and work regularly with the United States Bankruptcy Courts conducting auctions, appraisals and liquidation’s on their behalf. Our satisfied clients also include the United States Justice Department, a large assortment of financial institutions (including but not limited to, JP Morgan Chase Bank, Comerica Bank, First Merit Bank, Bank of America, Key Bank, Huntington Bank, etc.), municipalities/cities, many charity organizations, and a large number of business and private clients.

Appraisals performed by R.J. MONTGOMERY & ASSOCIATES, INC. include both a Forced Sale Value and a Fair Market Value. Replacement, In-Place and Orderly Liquidation Values can be included on request. All values are based on our years of experience in the field, our vast combined knowledge of merchandise, and, of course, thorough research.
Auctions performed by R.J. MONTGOMERY & ASSOCIATES, INC. include a total marketing program which means we handle all the details of an auction or liquidation sale - from verifying liens, to advertising and set-up, to sale and accounting of merchandise, to supervising removal of assets sold and preparing the report of sale. We maintain a 35,000 sq. ft. showroom if our clients need their assets moved to our facility for an auction or liquidation sale. Once RJM is on the job, the client can sit back and watch the progression of assets to cashflow.
